Fayyaz Malik

Fayyaz has a combined 17 years' plus work experience with WHO (Polio, Measles, EPI, Ebola and Cholera, IDPs, Typhoon and Famine), UNICEF (WASH and Nutrition Clusters) and UNHCR (Protection cluster). Having served in Countries like Pakistan, South Sudan, Philippines, Somalia, Sudan, Kenya, Sierra Leone and Switzerland (Global clusters Health, WASH and Protection).
Fayyaz is currently located in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Lisa Monaghan

Lisa started working with the GPC in February 2024. She has fifteen years’ experience of working in emergency and protected crisis. She is returning to coordination support having worked for 5 years previously as the protection cluster co-coordinator in South Sudan (2013-2015) and the Whole of Syria protection co-coordinator (2015-2017). 

Josep Herreros

Josep joined the GPC in February 2024. He brings more than 20 years of field and global level experience in Protection, working in different protection positions, both at field and country level, including internal displacement operations. Josep has worked in Albania, Kosovo, Guatemala, Colombia, Ecuador, Greece and Mexico, where he has led protection sectors and working groups. Josep has worked with UNHCR, UN Peace Mission and with civil society organizations.

Zachariah Jambo

Zachariah joined the Global Protection Team on December 1st , 2023 as a coordination intern. He is originally from Sudan and South Sudan. He is passionate about refugee and IDP rights. Before joining the GPC team, he has worked on an Applied Research Project with Joint IDP profiling Service (JIPS) for 10 months and was a research assistant at the Centre on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding and he is a holder of a Master's Degree in Development Studies from the Geneva Graduate.

Daniel Amoo

Daniel Joined the Global Protection Cluster in 2023. He brings 3 years of experience in web and software development using languages like but not limited to python, NodeJS, HTML, CSS. He is a driven computer science graduate from Covenant University, Nigeria, where he achieved a first-class Bachelor of Science(B.Sc) degree, complemented by certifications in leadership, ethical hacking, and data science. In addition to his professional and education achievements, Daniel is an active and passionate community service leader.

Samuel Otieno

Samuel joined the Global Protection Cluster (GPC) in October 2023. He brings with him a wealth of experience in the Humanitarian and Development Sector, spanning over 6 years. He is particularly proficient in Information Management Systems Design and has a proven track record of designing and implementing systems tailored for emergency situations.
