- UNDP: Inclusion and Livelihoods - Human Mobility Analysis and Mapping of the Refugees’ Needs by use of alternative data – August 2022 (link) Upon request from the government, the survey assessed needs of refugees, length of stay and employability, using the list of Prepay numbers distributed by Orange MD (~49’000 numbers) - To improve turnout, respondents received a bonus of 60 free minutes (1stSMS), and 1 GB free internet (2ndSMS).
- CCR, INTERSOS, REACH- Protection Monitoring Factsheet - August 2022 (link) Findings of 1,196 surveys collected in June 2022. Cash is the most commonly reported humanitarian need as a 1st priority (37% of respondents) and 2nd priority (16%), before accommodation as 1st priority (17%) and 2nd priority (7%) 43% of respondents reported willing to “stay here”, 27% to go to another country.
- UNHCR, REACH - Profiling & Monitoring: Profiles, Needs & Intentions of Refugees from Ukraine- August 2022 (link) Based on 4,552 interviews conducted between May and mid-August 2022. The majority (82%) of the refugees currently in Moldova are female, children, and elderly persons. The majority of respondents are staying in hosted or rented accommodation (65%), while 28% are still staying in reception or transit centres. The top three urgent needs reported by respondents are cash (56% of respondents), accommodation (29%) and healthcare (26%). While the findings vary based on the place of the interview, more than half of the respondents (53%) report plans to stay in their current host country in the near future, with safety, family ties and language as the main reasons
