The escalation of the conflict in areas such as the border with Venezuela, and the Pacific Coast region, marked by the use of new anti-personnel landmines by illegal armed groups, is creating new victims and humanitarian needs among rural, indigenous and Afro-descendants populations who live in these areas.

Objectives of this Mission:

  • Support Partnership-Building 
  • Support Equality, Diversity and Inclusion 
  • Consult with relevant partners on the overall progress of the programme in general and strategic direction for future engagement.
  • Support resource mobilization for humanitarian mine action.
  • Advocate for participation, leadership and representation of national and local partners in mine action decision-making.
