Centrality of protection has been established as a mandatory responsibility of the HCT, and it is generally understood that protection actors and the protection cluster play a key role in supporting and steering the implementation of such efforts. The event will address and explore the role of field Protection Cluster in fostering Centrality of Protection in humanitarian responses. Relying on the recent review on HCT protection strategies, discussions will focus on practical challenges and identify key contributions of field Protection Clusters/AoRs to the development and implementation of impactful HCT Protection strategies.
