On November 24th, the Protection Cluster published a flash report on the conflict situation in Upper Nile State. The report highlighted the conflict surge in Fashoda county which surged on 15 November 2022. Reportedly, these armed clashes resulted in killings and injuring of civilians, gender-based and conflict-related sexual violence, destruction of properties, looting of hospitals, injuries, separation of families and loss of assets and belongings, as well as renewed internal displacement of the civilian population, including secondary displacements, from the villages of Oriny, Agwor, Kom, Patuk, Nyigir, Pathang, Yony and Ogod to Kodok town.
