The GPC supports field protection clusters to ensure they have the capacity to fulfil these functions and responsibilities in a timely and comprehensive manner. To increase the effectiveness and relevance of its support to the field the GPC carries out the following activities:
- Maintenance of the GPC Help Desk and Rapid Response facility;
- Delivery of protection-related trainings and learning programmes;
- Undertakes support missions as requested by field protection clusters;
- Maintenance of the Protection Cluster Toolbox (see Tools and Guidance).
